TA: Manchester United owns profit sharing, Anthony hopes the two teams make up for the difference in his annual salary of 4 million euros
The Athletic reported that Manchester United and Betis reached an agreement on Anthony's transfer fee, but the two clubs still need to find a solution to the player's salary issue. Manchester United and Betis have reached an agreement on the transfer fee of 25 million euros + 3 million euros floating, and Manchester United still has 50% of the players' future transfer profit share. In other words, Manchester United can only get a share if Betis sells Anthony for more than 25 million euros in the future. For example, Barcelona will sign Anthony for 40 million euros in the next two years, Betis will get a transfer profit of 15 million euros, and Manchester United will share 7.5 million euros. However, Anthony's annual salary at Manchester United is as high as 6 million pounds (6.93 million euros), and the contract has two years left. Betis is facing a salary cut. He is seeking two clubs to find a way to make up for his 4 million euros income gap. Betis is currently unwilling to pay higher prices, and Manchester United is also eager to minimize their efforts. Betis's point is that United must reach an agreement with Anthony before the deal can continue, and said they are exploring other options. Sources from Betis said that unless Manchester United resolves the issue with Anthony, their offer will be deemed to be withdrawn and no longer valid. Meanwhile, Manchester United hopes that Betis is just adopting a negotiation strategy and that both sides and players can take a step back to facilitate the deal before the transfer window is closed.
