Official: Turin signs 25-year-old Portuguese sports goalkeeper Franko Islaer

According to official news, Turin signed 25-year-old Portuguese sports goalkeeper Franko Islaer, and the two sides signed the contract until 2028. The official announcement is as follows:

Turin Football Club announced that it has permanently signed player Franco Islaer from the Portuguese Sports Club. The player signed a contract until June 30, 2028 and included the option to renew the contract for 1 year.

Islaer was born in Uruguay on April 22, 2000. He grew up in the youth training system of the Uruguayan nation and was purchased by Juventus in 2018. He first joined the Juventus youth team, and then made his debut in the 2020-21 season for Juventus U23, who participated in the Serie C League. After playing for the team for 2 seasons and 59 appearances, he transferred to Portugal Sports. His debut in Portugal Sports was in the Champions League, and on October 4, 2022, he made his debut against Marseille. In his three seasons of playing for Portugal Sports, he won 2 Portuguese Super League titles and 1 Portuguese Cup championship, with a total of 53 appearances.

After playing 14 times for Uruguay U20, Islaer has also played once for Uruguay's adult national team.
