Mayor of Milan: The sale of San Siro to the Milan duo may be signed on Wednesday

Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala was interviewed during the event today. He talked about the transfer of property rights of the San Siro/Meazza Stadium to Milan Inter Milan.

The date of transfer and contract signing is postponed compared to the scheduled date. As for when this historic moment will arrive, the top official in the capital of Lombardy said: "Maybe Wednesday. I will attend the C40 summit then and then come back on Thursday, but I am not worried. Obviously all of us want to end this matter with this notarized signing, so everyone is still working this past weekend."

Sala then explained the reason for the postponement last week: "This is a technical issue between the two clubs, and It’s not an issue with the city government.”

Regarding the police security agreement after the transfer, the mayor said: “It will be reconsidered. This aspect needs to continue to work.”

Regarding the question of whether the city council members will have free tickets, Sarah responded: “This is not in the agreement. The two teams have promised to give free tickets to (surrounding) schools and communities; I don’t know whether they will give them to the council members, but we have to complete the deal first and then discuss these situations.”
