George talks about No. 3 Edgecombe: I think he is a bit like Butler, playing hard, offense and defense

In the 2025 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers used the No. 3 pick to choose the genius VJ Edgecom from the Bahamas.

Paul George talked about Edgecomb on his podcast and commented: "I think he is a bit like Jimmy Butler. He is like a vicious dog when he plays hard, both offense and defense, and he has that kind of tough temperament."

In the 2024-25 season, Edgecomb played 33 games for Baylor University, and averaged 32.7 minutes per game to score 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.1 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.9 turnovers. His shooting percentage was 43.6%, his three-point shooting percentage was 34.0%, and his free throw shooting percentage was 78.2%.
