48.5 million in two years! Kuminga: I am happy after signing the contract, thank God for making this happen

Recently, Warriors forward Kuminga accepted an interview with Andscape.

Reporter: How did you feel when you signed the new contract?

Kuminga: I didn’t have too many emotional fluctuations at the time. I think my family was probably more excited than I was. I mostly feel joy, happiness, and gratitude to God for allowing this to happen. I don't feel any pressure, I just hope that the signing can be completed as soon as possible. But the weight of handling things didn’t make me nervous. I'm just waiting patiently to see how things develop. I'm glad we finally resolved this issue.

During the offseason, Kuminga and the Warriors kept arguing over contract issues. In the end, Kuminga agreed to return to the Golden State Warriors on a two-year contract worth $48.5 million, including a team option for the second year.
