World Sports: Barcelona city government requires Camp Nou to be shut down completely, Barcelona is still waiting for use permits

According to the World Sports Report, the Barcelona city government has requested a full suspension of work at Camp Nou, while the Red and Blue Army is still waiting for the first use permit for the stadium.

Barcelona is still waiting for the first use permit of Barcelona's city government to reopen the Camp Nou Stadium in the first phase, which has a capacity of 27,000 seats, including the stands and part of the south side goal area. However, the city requires the club to conduct a comprehensive inspection under unprecedented conditions, which means that the works under the responsibility of Limak Construction must be completely shut down. Although no inspection was conducted yesterday, it is expected that the city's technicians will come to inspect in the next few days, and the club believes that these technicians are too cautious.

Barca has rectified all the problems found by the city and fire department and hopes to get approval before the October 18 game against Girona. For the next UEFA Champions League match against Olympiacos on October 21, the club has confirmed that it will be held at Montsic Stadium, which has 50,300 seats available, as the wing area is not yet open.

Despite the city's request, the construction of Camp Nou has not been completely stopped. Work in the flanking area (under Phase 1B) is still continuing because the area has not started inspections; work on the north goal area (under Phase 1C) is also underway. Once the first and second floor stands are fully completed, Barcelona will be able to provide 62,000 seats for its members and fans.
