Rennes coach: My first choice for Dembele in the Golden Globe Awards, his data was amazing last season

This Thursday, Rennes coach Habib Beyer said in an interview that he hopes the Ballon d'Or award can be awarded to a Paris Saint-Germain player, especially Dembele.

Bayer said: "In my opinion, they had such an excellent season. It would not be surprising if the winners of Paris players, such as Dembele or Ashraf, are the numbers of Dembele last season. But frankly speaking, Dembele's data last season was really amazing."

At the same time, Beyer emphasized the importance of Rennes' youth training, which is the player who grew up here between 2010 and 2015.

"From the collective oppressive nature he showed, I think he is always aggressive and wants to destroy his opponent and show his unstoppable side. This will be an excellent symbol for the youth training academy he once played for. And for him personally, it is worthy of winning such an honor for his performance this season."

The 28-year-old French striker Dembele made 49 appearances for Paris in the 2024-25 season, scoring 33 goals and contributing 14 assists.
