On Friday local time, Bayern officially announced the recall of second-team defender Grasshoppers who were loaned to Zurich in advance. De Tony joined Zurich Grasshoppers on loan last season on a loan window. Bayern officials said that after consensus among all parties, the loan has now been terminated early, and the central defender will return to Bayern's second team immediately. 20-year-old De Tony joined Bayern youth training in 2017 and has played 36 regional league games for the second team so far.
