Italian media: Italian coach Gattuso visits Rome s training ground, and he also plans to visit multiple teams summer training camps

According to Italian media reports, the new Italian head coach Gatuso visited the Rome training base today, and he met with Rome coach Gasperini and the Italian players in the team.

Gattuso previously replaced Spalletti as Italy's new head coach. He is currently preparing to announce his first national team roster to prepare for the critical 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

In the home match against Estonia on September 5, Gattuso will make his first appearance in coaching the national team, and the team will then play against Israel in a neutral position on September 8. Given the tight time, Gattuso plans to visit preseason camps of many Serie A teams in order to better understand the players.

Roma is his first stop. On Friday, he met with Roma's new coach Gasperini, sporting director Masala and players who meet the selection at the training base in Trigolia. Also accompanying Gattuso are assistant coaches Bonucci and Richio.

Roma posted a photo of the Italian coach with players Christant and Mancini on official social media. Gattuso is expected to head to the Purple Lily Park training base in Fiorentina on Saturday, where he meets his new coach Pioli and the players.
