Dortmund s turnover in fiscal year 24/25 reached 526 million euros, setting the highest revenue in team history
According to the official website of Dortmund, Dortmund Chuang Club has the highest revenue in history, with a turnover of 526 million euros in fiscal year 2024/25.
In the 2024/25 fiscal year, Dortmund achieved a group turnover of up to 526 million euros, setting a record high in club history. If players transfer fees were included, the total revenue reached €589.6 million, slightly lower than the €639 million in the previous year.
At the financial press conference, senior Vatsk reviewed the club's history of starting from 75 million euros in turnover and 54 million euros in losses and emphasized: "We once set a turnover target of 500 million euros, and now we have achieved an all-time highest turnover of 526 million euros on the basis of 509 million euros last year. This is a very successful year for us. This is not only reflected in the economy, but also in sports performance. If you qualify for the Champions League for ten consecutive years, there are only seven clubs in the whole Europe that can do this, which is amazing!"
Compared with the previous fiscal year (509 million euros), the only listed Bundesliga club increased its turnover by 3.32% to 526 million euros in the fiscal year from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The group's pre-tax profit was 10.5 million euros and after-tax profit was 6.5 million euros, in line with expectations at the beginning of the season.
In addition, management announced a positive free cash flow of 21 million euros and called it a "good and stable result". As of June 30, 2025, the company's unused credit line was 75 million euros.
In the UEFA Champions League, Dortmund reached the quarter-finals, exceeding the sports and economic goals. The new competition system brought all seven home games sold out (six last year) and increased ticket revenue. In addition, participating in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer also brought the club 33.9 million euros in revenue. Dortmund reached the quarter-finals in the US.
However, early exits of the German Cup and a decline in transfer revenue from the previous year had a negative impact on overall performance. Jude Bellingham moved to Real Madrid last year, while Phil Kruger and Donyere Mullen left the team at a lower price this season. Gittens's transfer to Chelsea is included in the 2025/26 fiscal year. In addition, the performance of merchandise sales was not as good as last year, when Dortmund benefited a lot from participating in the Champions League final. Management plans to propose dividends per share again at the upcoming shareholders' meeting in November.
