AS: Mexican court issues arrest warrant for Real Oviedo boss Martinez
According to "AS" report, a Mexico City judge has issued an arrest warrant for Real Oviedo boss Jesus Martinez, who is also the chairman of Pachuca. The arrest warrant arose because Martinez twice failed to comply with orders to appear at initial hearings and failed to provide a reason for his absence, leading the judge to declare them to be evading justice. Once arrested, the two men will be sent to the Men's Preventive Prison in the North District of Mexico City. Sources close to the case revealed that the case is related to a resolution ordering the Pachuca club to stop broadcasting sports that are in litigation. The judge warned that continued disobedience could lead to harsher penalties and more serious criminal consequences. Pachuca Group responded to the matter saying that they were very calm and hoped that the problem would be resolved in the next few days. The report pointed out that the arrest warrant for club executives is an unprecedented precedent in Mexican football and may become a reference point in the future.
