Jiafu: No one can take away the valuable experience accumulated in Milan. Ibrahimovic will "pinch" you to make you improve.

Newcastle defender Jiafu was once again selected into the German team squad after two years. He accepted an interview with Sky Sports Germany during the training camp. He talked about the feeling of being selected again, the support of Newcastle fans, cooperation with Walter Mader and communication with Ibrahimovic.

- On being selected for the national team again and his reaction after receiving the call from the head coach:

Jiafu: "I am very happy and grateful to be called up again. It is always an honor for me to play for Germany in Germany. I am very happy and will try my best to do my best."

- On what the national team coach thinks about his future plans:

Yafu: "When I moved to Newcastle, he called me. We had a phone call and the initial expectation was that I would perform in the Newcastle game. I think I have done well in the recent period. We haven't had one-on-one talks since I arrived here, but I am sure there will be in the next few days."

- On Newcastle fans creating their own cheer song:

Jiafu: "I know the lyrics, it's great. I've never had my own song in my career. When I first heard it, I was surprised. Later my teammates told me - not It's a derogatory thing - it's quite common in England, but it was a great moment for me when I was standing in front of the fans at an away game."

- Did it impress you that head coach Eddie Howe made three attempts to bring you to Newcastle?

Jiafu: "Absolutely. We had a conversation in the spring, but by this summer things were much more concrete than in previous years. I also had a few conversations with Eddie Howe later on, and he told me his plans for me and where he thought I would be in the team. So I chose to join Newcastle, and I think it was the right decision."

- On his teammate Walter Mader, and what it means to be with him at Newcastle:

Yaev: "It's great. I think he would say the same, but he really helped me a lot. It's a completely different comfort when you can be with another German. You can talk in German at any time and have similar interests. He has become a very good friend of mine. I'm glad he's here and he's been very helpful to the team as well."

- On how Walter Mader has enriched the team with his abilities:

Yaev: "His abilities are unquestionable. Everyone knows that. I've known him for a long time, so I know what he can bring and I know he can definitely establish himself in the Premier League. And he has had a perfect start, which is ideal. He has done a very good job."

- On his development since Schalke 04:

Yaev: "The move from Schalke to Milan was a huge step for me. I learned a lot there - both on and off the field. For example, how I play, how to prepare mentally, and how to deal with pressure. But I also accumulated valuable experience - whether in major competitions or against strong opponents. No one can take these experiences away from me."

- On whether he had a lot of communication with Ibrahimovic when he was at AC Milan:

Yoshio: "Yes, a lot. He is the kind of person who will clearly express his opinions and put forward his requirements for you very straightforwardly. He will also praise you, but he is more of a person who will 'pinch' you to make you better. That is why he and I have had so many conversations."

- Did you have any thoughts in your mind when you were not called up by the national team before:

Yafu: "Of course. I have always maintained a good competitive level, so I always hope to be called up. But the reality is not the case. Despite this, I have always tried to do my best. Therefore, now I can play for Germany again, I am even more happy."

- Regarding personal expectations for this national team training session:

Jiafu: "I know that I have not played for the national team for nearly two years. So I know very well that I am not coming as an undisputed main player this time. I have to prove myself and hope to get playing time to meet the coach's expectations."

- Why he finally chose to play for Germany despite having triple nationality of Germany, Senegal and Finland:

Jiafu: "My first choice has always been to play for Germany. But I also listened to the plans of Senegal and Finland. Since I have not been selected for the German team in the past two years, I have also been in contact with those two national teams. But I made it clear from the beginning that Germany has always been my first choice. If Germany calls, I will be very willing to play for Germany."
